Ignition Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Ignition coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing. See Fig 1 . Using ohmmeter, check that contact to ground is closed with engine cold.
  2. Operate engine until coolant temperature is at least 95-106°F (35-41°C). Contact should open at this temperature. Replace unit if contact did not operate.
