Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
- CHECK THE INERTIA SWITCH
- Check if the car had an accident and if the inertia switch has operated.
Has the Inertia Switch been activated?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Connect the scan tool to the Body Control Module (BCM) and reset the Inertia Switch.
- Check if the car had an accident and if the inertia switch has operated.
- CHECK THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
- Connect the scan tool to the PCM and check for errors.
Are there any errors in PCM?
Yes
- Continue as instructed by the scan tool.
No
- End of diagnosis.
- Connect the scan tool to the PCM and check for errors.
