Removal And Installation: Module
NOTE:
The Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) is mounted on a bracket which is bolted to the Instrument Panel (IP) carrier over the center tunnel.
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) from the TBM2 (1b).
- Remove the fastener (1a) from the I/P carrier.
- Release the wire harness retainers (2a). Position the wire harness (2b) aside to gain access to the TBM2 fasteners.
- Remove the fasteners (2c) from both sides of the TBM2 (2d). Remove the TBM2 (2d) from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
- Position the TBM2 (2d) to the lower I/P carrier. Install the fasteners (2c) to both sides of the TBM2 (2d) and tighten securely.
- Position the wire harness (2b) and securely seat the wire harness retainers (2a).
- Install and securely tighten the fastener (1a) that secures the lower I/P carrier.
- Connect all the wire harness connectors (1a) to the TBM2 (1b).
- Install the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
