System Pressure Test

  1. Connect Pressure Gauge (US1074/2 on Coupe GT, 4000S and 4000CS Quattro; US1070 on 5000S, 5000CS Turbo and 5000CS Quattro) between pressure hose and pressure pipe of valve housing, with pressure gauge valve open. Run engine at idle.
  2. Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times. Check pressure. Pressure should be 2103-2248 psi (148-158 kg/cm2 ). If pressure is not within limits, replace steering gear.
