Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Disconnect wire from coolant temperature sensor. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between sensor terminal and ground. Resistance should be 60-1000 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor.
  2. If resistance is as specified, disconnect ECU harness connector. Check for continuity between connector terminal and ECU terminal No. 10. See Figure . If there is no continuity, repair open in wire.
