Measuring Value Block (scan tool function 08), reading: Notes

The control module can transfer measuring values to the VAS5051 tester and VAG1551 scan tool. These measured values provide information about the operational status of the system and the sensors connected to it. In many cases the data supplied can be used to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions. The measured values provided by ESP are accessible in six display groups, which can be called up according to their display group numbers.

Connect VAS5051 tester or VAG1551 scan tool and select the address word 03 "Brake Electronics". See VAG1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORD .
NOTE:
- When the printer is switched on, the contents of the display will be printed out on the scan tool log.
- When reading the measuring value block, also check wiring and connectors for loose terminals.
Check the control module version. See CONTROL MODULE VERSIONS (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 01), CHECKING and press --> button.
