DTC P1149/17557: Oxygen Sensor Control Implausible Control Value

If scan tool displays DTC P1149/17557, perform following tests:

• Check oxygen sensor control and adaptation values. See DTC P1111/17519 OR P1112/17520 .
• Check fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.
• Check intake system for leaks (false air).

If problem is found, repair as necessary. After repairs, use scan tool to clear DTCs and generate a ECM readiness code. See FUNCTION 05 - CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and READINESS CODE  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTC does not reset, testing is complete.
