DTC P1579/17987: Throttle Valve Control Module Adaptation Not Started

VAS 5051 scan tool and VAG 5051/1 adapter cable are necessary to diagnose this code. Use VAS 5051 to test TVCM. Perform throttle valve control module adaptation procedure. See THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE ADAPTATION  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If problem is found, repair as necessary. After repair, use scan tool to clear DTCs and generate a ECM readiness code. See FUNCTION 05 - CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and READINESS CODE  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTC does not reset, testing is complete.
