DTC P1559/17967: Throttle Valve Control Module Malfunction In Basic Setting

NOTE: For these DTCs, ECM illuminates Electric Power Control (EPC) warning light, in instrument cluster, immediately after recognizing malfunction.
NOTE: For these DTCs, ECM does not illuminate Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) unless malfunction is recognized after 2 consecutive ignition cycles.

DTC P1559/17967 indicates that Throttle Valve Control Module (TVCM) adaptation procedure needs to be performed. Perform TVCM adaptation procedure. See THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE ADAPTATION  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After adaptation procedure is completed, use scan tool to clear DTCs and generate a ECM readiness code. See FUNCTION 05 - CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and READINESS CODE  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTC does not reset testing is complete.
