Adaptation Of Oxygen Sensor Control

For adaptation of oxygen sensor, engine must be running. Engine coolant temperature must be 194 °F (90 °C) or more. Connect VAS 5051 or equivalent scan tool to DLC. DLC is located behind cover under left side of steering column. Using scan tool check and clear any DTCs in memory. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . From selection 1, select diagnostic function "04 - BASIC SETTING". Follow scan tool instructions for oxygen sensor adaptation.
