Function 04 - Basic Setting: Notes
NOTE:
During diagnostic function "04 - BASIC SETTING", EVAP canister regulator valve and A/C operations are disabled.
Enter BASIC SETTING diagnostic function when instructed to by DTC testing procedure. BASIC SETTING diagnostic function is used to:
- Adapt kick down function of accelerator pedal to ECM (vehicles with automatic transmissions).
- Adaptation of oxygen sensor control.
- Adapt throttle valve control module to ECM.
Before entering BASIC SETTING diagnostic function. Ensure that no DTCs are stored in memory. Run engine until coolant temperature is 176 °F (°80 C) or more. A/C is switch off. Transaxle is in Park or Neutral. Connect VAS 5051 or equivalent scan tool to DLC. DLC is located behind cover under left side of steering column. Using scan tool, from selection 1, select diagnostic function "04 - BASIC SETTING". Follow scan tool instructions to perform appropriate BASIC SETTING diagnostic function. After last adaptation procedure is complete, end function "04 - BASIC SETTING" by pressing "back arrow" button on scan tool.
