Test sequence

• Connect VAS5051 tester or VAG1551 scan tool and select control module for engine electronics using "address word" 01. See VAS 5051 VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM ORVAG1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS .

Ignition must remain switched on for this.

When indicated on display:

• Press buttons -0- and -3- to select "output Diagnostic Test Mode" and press -Q- button to confirm input.
