Function test

• Switch ignition on.
• Actuate and hold brake pedal.
• Shift through all selector lever positions.

• Selector lever position must correspond to display of measuring value blocks in Instrument Cluster Control Module -J285-.

• Switch off ignition.

If selector lever position does not correspond to display of Instrument Cluster Control Module -J285-:

• Disconnect connector - 2  - from Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch -F125-.

Observe safety precautions → Safety precautions .

• Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.

If harness connector is not OK:

• Repair malfunction and repeat test sequence.
• Erase DTC memory of TCM → Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data .
• Generate readiness code → Readiness code, generating .

If harness connector is OK:

• Check lines to TCM according to wiring diagram.
