Test sequence

• Disconnect vacuum hose from combi-valve.

• Connect hand vacuum pump (V.A.G 1390 or VAS 6213) to vacuum hose -1- on combi-valve.

• Disconnect pressure hose at Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor -arrow- and blow air in with light pressure.

Combi-valve must be closed.

• Operate the hand vacuum pump.

Combi-valve must open.

If the combination valve does not open or it is constantly open:

• Replace combi-valve → Combi-valve, removing and installing .
• Erase DTC memory of ECM → Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data .
• Generate readiness code → Readiness code, generating .
