Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/delete diagnostic data

The following functions are performed in this diagnostic mode:

• All emission relevant malfunctions in the DTC memory will be erased.
• The operating conditions at which a malfunction was stored will be reset.
• All adaptation values will be reset.
• All test results of the diagnostic functions will be reset.

Procedure 

• Connect diagnostic tester. → Diagnostic tester, connecting .
• In diagnostic function "address word 33 - OBD" select "Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC memory.".
• Select desired measured value according to the "PID XX", e.g. "PID 05-Coolant temperature", via the following table.
• Then select "Mode 4: Reset/delete diagnostic data".

Display: Diagnostic data are being erased.

• End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
