A/C System Control And Regulation Components Inside Passenger Compartment: Notes
NOTE:
- Vehicles with automatically regulated A/C system: The Climatronic Control Module -J255- evaluates the signals from various components and actuates the compressor via the A/C Compressor Regulator Valve -N280-.
- Vehicles with manual climate control system: the A/C Control Module -J301- evaluates the signals from various components and actuates the A/C compressor via the A/C compressor regulator valve.
- If there is a malfunction in the system, first check DTC memory of Climatronic control module or of the A/C control module using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- If no fault is displayed, then read the measured value block for the Climatronic control module / the A/C control module and test the component using the "control diagnosis" function of the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding".
- Servicing operations on refrigerant circuit are described in REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, SERVICING .
- Perform the following work on completion of repair operations:
-- Check DTC memory of Climatronic control module / or A/C control module and erase any malfunctions displayed.
-- Check coding of the Climatronic control module.
-- If necessary, check adaptation of the Climatronic control module.
-- Perform A/C system basic setting using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding".
- The electrical tests for various motors, potentiometers and sensors is described in Guided Fault Finding of the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051.
