Determining Malfunction If Specified Values Are Not Obtained

-- Select read measured values block using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding".-- Repeat cooling performance test, refer to COOLING OUTPUT, CHECKING .-- Watch the A/C Compressor Regulator Valve -N280- control display, during the cooling performance test, the control is off (was the control current less than 0.50 Amps)?

-- Check the DTC memory, correct any displayed faults and erase the DTC memory using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding".
  • Did the refrigerant circuit pressure displayed in the measured values block increase during the cooling output test?
-- Read the compressor shut-off condition and correct the cause of the shut-off using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding".-- Repeat cooling output test. ↓ Yes ↓ ↓ Continuation DETERMINING MALFUNCTION IF SPECIFIED VALUES ARE NOT OBTAINED =>  ↓ No ↓ -- Bring vehicle to a workshop that has the necessary tools and in which the work can be performed accordingly by qualified personnel: SWITCHES AND SENSORS ON REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT AND CONNECTIONS and refer to A/C SERVICE STATION and refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Bring the problems determined to the attention of the workshop.
NOTE:

Only the Climatronic control module, part number 8P0 820 043 from index AE through index AH with software version 0430 (Audi A3 and Audi A3 Sportback) or from index BC or BD starting with software version 0800 (Audi A3 Cabrio) may be installed on vehicles with a 2.0L TFSI engine (engine code CAWB). If vehicle with this engine have a Climatronic control module with software version 0420 and 0700, then the control of the compressor is shut off by the Climatronic control module due to an unfounded request from the engine control module (the control current is limited to 300 mA, until the pressure in the refrigerant circuit exceeds approximately 7.5 bar) and the A/C cooling performance is unacceptable to the customer. Refer to CLIMATRONIC CONTROL MODULE .
