Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module, Removing and Installing

• If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions".

Removing

• Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM) → Steering Column Switch Module, Removing and Installing .

• Carefully release catches - arrows  -.
• Pull return spring with slip ring - 2  - with Steering Angle Sensor G85 - item 1  - off from steering column switch module (SCSM).

• Remove screws - arrows  -.
• Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 - item 1  - from steering column switch module.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Make sure all fasteners and electrical connectors are properly engaged.
• Install Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM) → Steering Column Switch Module, Removing and Installing .

If Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 was replaced, it must be coded.
