Transmission Output Rpm Sensor, Checking
The Transmission Output Speed (RPM) Sensor -G195- is a component of the Mechatronic unit in the transmission.
Requirements
- The battery voltage must be at least 12.5 V.
- All electrical consumers must be switched off.
- The parking brake must be engaged.
- The selector lever must be in the "P" position.
- The Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.
Test sequence
-- Disconnect the electrical connector in the -direction of the arrow- and remove it from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-.
-- Observe safety precautions.
-- Check the electrical harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.
If the electrical harness connector is not OK:
-- Repair the malfunction.
If the electrical harness connector is OK:
-- Check the wiring according to the wiring diagram:
If no malfunctions are found in the wiring:
-- Replace the Mechatronic unit in the transmission. Refer to ATF PAN, ATF FILTER AND MECHATRONIC OVERVIEW .
The Transmission Output Speed (RPM) Sensor -G195- is a component of the Mechatronic unit and cannot be replaced separately.
-- Assembly is performed in the reverse of the removal.
- Check the DTC memory. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC MODE 03 - READ DTC MEMORY .
- If necessary, erase DTC memory of the Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC MODE 04 - ERASE DTC MEMORY .
- Generate readiness code. Refer to READINESS CODE .
