Jerking In Pull/Push Operation, Fault In DTC Memory, Torque Converter Clutch No Power Transfer

The coating on the torque converter clutch is cracked and folded over, no smooth transfer of power, pieces of the coating broken off (transmission codes GNT and GNU only).

NOTE:

If the folded-over piece of coating is worn off, the torque converter lock-up clutch can still work OK temporarily.

-- Replace the torque converter.

-- Replace the ATF filter. Refer to Oil filter, removing and installing .
