Wiper Frame With Linkage And Windshield Wiper Motor -V-, Installing
Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Torque Wrench 1331 5-50Nm:VAG1331
- Puller - Wiper Arm Kit - Puller 5:T10369/5
- When connecting battery, always perform work procedure as described in repair manual. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING . Failure to follow the sequence can trigger the battery cut-off relay and damage the electrical equipment.
- Observe notes for threaded connections of battery terminals. Refer to BATTERY POST/TERMINAL .
-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Let Windshield Wiper Motor -V- run to rest position. Connect the connector to the Windshield Wiper Motor -V-, turn on the ignition and briefly operate the windshield wiper switch (one-touch wiping).
The hood (Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-) must be closed in order to use the windshield wipers.
-- Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Install the wiper frame with the linkage and Windshield Wiper Motor -V- in reverse sequence.
-- Tighten the bolts for the wiper frame to the tightening specification found in the assembly overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM .
If Wiper Motor Control Module -J400- or Windshield Wiper Motor -V- is replaced, Wiper Motor Control Module -J400- must be coded. Refer to Wiper Motor Control Module -J400-, CODING .
-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
