WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, 2013 Volkswagen Touareg, 2012 Volkswagen Touareg, and 2011 Volkswagen Touareg. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal.

When replacing radio navigation system control modules, it is necessary to adapt the replaced control modules to the vehicle. If this is not performed, component protection is activated for these control modules so that they do not work or only on a highly limited basis.

Adapt the control module. Refer to ANTI-THEFT COMPONENT PROTECTION .

NOTE:

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to enable the control module after it has been replaced. Currently this applies only to Argentina, Brazil and India.

Enabling the Control Module:

On the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, select "Guided Fault Finding".

After all control modules have been checked:

-- Press the "Go to" button.

-- Select "Functions/Component selection".

-- Select "software version management".

-- Select "Function Enabling System"
