Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal. Note The Following: 

-- Make sure all retaining hooks and connectors are engaged securely.

-- Install the steering column trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL / UPPER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / LOWER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the steering wheel. Refer to AIRBAG UNIT WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG / OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- Install the driver airbag. Refer to AIRBAG UNIT WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG / OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- After replacing the return spring with slip ring, the steering angle sensor must be adjusted. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- If replacing the control module, select the "Replace Control Module" function on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
