Control Piston Function, Checking
-- Move the gearshift lever -A- several times forward and backward in direction of -arrows 1-.
- When doing this, the control piston -B- must move outward and inward accordingly in direction of -arrows 2-.
If the control piston does not move, the shifting cam has not engaged in the groove -arrow- on the control piston on the back side of the hydraulic control unit. In this case:
-- Remove the hydraulic control unit again.
Check for Damage Possibly Caused by Incorrect Installation:
- The control piston -B- must be able to move easily to the left and right; in case of complaints, the hydraulic control unit must be replaced.
- The shifting cam -1- or the selector shaft must have no damage due to an incorrect installation.
-- Install the hydraulic control unit again. Refer to Installing .
If the control piston moves as described:
-- Tighten the screws -arrows- to the tightening specification.
