Comfort System Central Control Module -J393-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Notes
CAUTION:
There is a risk of being electrocuted if high voltage components are damaged.
When working near high voltage components and wires, observe the following:
- Do not use cutting, deforming, sharp-edged tools or heat sources such as welding, solder, hot air or thermal glue.
- Perform a visual inspection before beginning any work in the area of high voltage components.
- Perform a visual inspection of the Electric Drive Power And Control Electronics -JX1-, the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141-, the A/C Compressor -V470- and the high voltage lines when working in the engine compartment.
- Perform a visual inspection of the high voltage cable and the cover when working on the floor panel.
- Visually inspect the high voltage cables, the electronics and the High Voltage System Maintenance Connector -TW -, when working in the luggage compartment.
- Perform a visual inspection of all of the potential equalization cables.
Note the following when performing a visual inspection:
- No components should show any signs of exterior damage.
- The high voltage cable insulation and potential equalization cable insulation must not be damaged.
- The high voltage cables must not be deformed in any way.
- Every high voltage component must be marked with a red warning label.
-- If the control module is being replaced, select in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode or "Guided Functions" the function "Replacing" of the respective control module, refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
