Display Control Head -J301- / -J255-, Removing And Installing, Q2: Removing

-- Remove the instrument panel decorative trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Press onto the visible end of the upper clamps -1 and 2-, using a screwdriver and then press out the display control head by hand, first on the right side, then on the upper left side.

-- Position the Hook Tool: T40207  (or T-Handle Hook: 3438  ) on the openings -3- and carefully pull the control head -1- out of the mount -2-, first on the right side, then on the left -arrow-. Use a plastic wedge on the sides if necessary.

-- Slide the safety mechanism -4- upward in direction of -arrow- and press the release -5- inward to disconnect the connectors -1, 2 and 3-.
