6.2.1 Distance Regulation Control Module - J428-, Removing and Installing
NOTE:
If replacing the control module, select the "Replace Control Module" function using the -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester-.
Removing
- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to Front Bumper; Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing.
- Disconnect the connector -1-.
- For Audi RS3, free up the wiring harness.
- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
- Remove the distance regulation control module -2-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Check the connector for damage, contact corrosion and water ingress, and service if necessary. Refer to Electrical Equipment General Information; Rep. Gr. 97; Wring Harness and Connector Repair.
- Calibrate the adaptive cruise control. Refer to 6.3 Adaptive Cruise Control, Calibrating .
