ENGINE, SECURING TO Engine and Transmission Holder: VAS6095A

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury from the lifted engine falling.

Parts of the body could be crushed.

- Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the lifting tackle with a securing pin.

-- Remove the drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Tighten the : VW540  on the transmission side as shown on the engine with the bolts -arrows- and nut -2-.

-- Secure the : VW540  with mounting pin -3- and cotter pin -1- on the : VAS6095A  .

Assembling 

Assemble in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
