Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera -R242-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VERSION 2, MFK3: Removing
- Component location. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SENSORS AND CONTROL MODULES IN CENTER SECTION OF VEHICLE .
-- To prevent damage, cover the upper edge of the interior rearview mirror with adhesive tape.
-- Unclip the cover -1- using the clip release lever from the : VAS6845 in direction of -arrows A, B and C- by carefully inserting the clip release lever between the windshield and the cover.
-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
-- Disengage the front cover and remove toward the rear.
-- Press the clips -6- toward the vehicle interior -arrow-.
-- Guide the retaining pins -4- for the front camera -2- downward out of the mounts -5-.
-- Pull the front camera -2- to the left, out of the mount -3- of the retaining plate.
-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.
Lens, Removing
-- Free up the connector -2-.
-- Release and disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Release the retaining tabs -1- at the retaining plate.
-- Swivel the lens -3- downward, out of the retaining plate -1- -arrow-.
