Abs Control Module -J104- /Abs Hydraulic Unit -N55-, Removing And Installing: Installing
Tighten the bracket -1- with the bolt -arrow- to 25 Nm
The ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- may not run empty.
-- Insert the ABS Control Module -J104- with the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- into the vehicle until the connector can be connected.
-- Connect and lock the connector for the ABS Control Module -J104- -3- to the control module.
The connection must be securely locked to avoid any sliding.
-- Insert the ABS Control Module -J104- with ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- -2- carefully into the pins -arrows- on the bracket -1-.
- The ABS Control Module -J104- with ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- must fit securely in every pin.
-- Remove the plugs from the Assembly Part Set :5Q0 698 311 .
-- Insert all brake lines -1 and 2- into the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-.
-- Screw in all union bolts for the brake lines -1- by hand first.
-- Tighten all the union bolts for the brake lines -1-. Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC UNIT .
-- After securing the brake lines to the hydraulic unit, perform output diagnostic test mode using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
It can be determined in output diagnostic test mode, if the line connections were switched.
-- Remove the :VAG1869/2 .
Remove all cloths previously placed down from the vehicle.
-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
-- If the ABS Control Module -J104- /ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- is being replaced, select the "Replace" function for the ABS Control Module -J104- /ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, Guided Functions .
