- Scan Tool: VAG1551
In as-delivered condition, replacement airbag control modules are not coded.
If the airbag control module is not coded the airbag malfunction indicator lamp is illuminated continuously.
When the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) program is initiated and the : VAG1551 displays incorrect coding for the current airbag system version, or the airbag control module is replaced, carry out coding of the airbag control module as follows:
-- Connect : VAG1551 , and select "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 1.
