Engine, Supporting In Installation Position

Procedure

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to the engine weight shifting.

The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.

- Only support the engine when the transmission and tunnel crossmember are removed.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left and right covers for the fender. Refer to OVERVIEW - FENDER .

-- Position the Engine Support Bridge: 10-222A at the left and right side on the longitudinal member.

-- Engage the Engine Support Bridge - Spindle: 10-222A/11 at the left and right on the engine lifting eyes.

-- Tension the engine with the spindles slightly until the engine mount is not under a load.

Assembling

Assemble in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
