Removal & Installation (318i, 318iC & 318is)

  1. Remove airflow meter assembly connector. Loosen throttle body air intake duct hose clamps, nuts, and remove hoses.
  2. Cut off strap on hose going to air cleaner and remove air cleaner assembly. Open 4 fasteners, remove screw, and separate airflow meter assembly sections. remove 4 nuts and airflow meter assembly.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check rubber mounts, dampers, and airflow meter assembly for proper seating. Check idle speed and CO level.
