System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position No. 1. SRS warning light should glow and then go out after 6-10 seconds if no fault codes are present. Following conditions indicate SRS is malfunctioning and SRS fault code is stored in control unit memory:

• SRS light does not glow when ignition is turned on
• SRS light does not go out after 6-10 seconds
• SRS light remains on after engine is started
• SRS light comes on or flickers while vehicle is driven.
