61 35 950 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Control Unit For Comfort Access System

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Remove flap in luggage compartment panel on right. Refer to 51 47 172 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, LEFT OR RIGHT .
• Disconnect battery negative lead. Refer to 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Open catches (2) in direction of arrow and remove control unit for comfort access system (3) towards top.

Replacement: 

Carry out coding/programming.

Observe following IDC specifications:

• Programming.
• Coding.
• If necessary, car & key memory.
• CD "CIP".
