SUBJECT

"Engine Oil Level" Menu Option is Displayed After Reprogramming

SITUATION

After reprogramming with Progman V21.1 or V21.2 , the menu option for "Engine Oil Level" is then incorrectly displayed in the CID under the "Service" selection. When selected, it does not function.

CAUSE

The cause is a MASK or CCC coding error depending on the vehicle option level. Only vehicles currently at the integration level, or Vehicle data status: E060-06-03-515, are affected.

Important Note: These vehicles are not equipped with the hardware to support this function.

PROCEDURE

On a customer complaint basis only , Perform a "Complete Encoding" using Progman V22 or higher (Target data status: E060-06-06-510).

This path must be followed to enter the correct coding data into either the MASK or CCC.
