Encoding/Programming IHKA: E60, E61, E63, E64: Encoding
When encoding vehicle-specific data, the following details (among others) must be taken into account:
- Engine type (diesel or spark-ignition)
- National version (e.g. EURO version, US, Japan or hot climate, left/right-hand drive)
- Optional equipment (e.g. independent heater, IHKA High)
- Control unit version (IHKA High or IHKA Basic) Programming The IHKA control unit can be flash programmed via the body CAN (body controller area network).
