61 35 196 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Control Unit For Automatic Rear Lid Actuation

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Disconnect battery negative lead. Refer to 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
• Remove flap in right luggage compartment wheel arch trim. Refer to 51 47 172 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, LEFT OR RIGHT .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release nut (2) and remove control unit for automatic rear lid actuation (3).

Replacement: 

Carry out coding/programming.

Observe following IDC specifications:

• Programming.
• Coding.
• Car & Key Memory.
• CD "CIP".
