61 31 195 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Front Controller

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove center console trim  . See 51 16 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTRE CONSOLE TRIM .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque. See GENERAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Raise controller (2) and disconnect plug connection underneath.

Replacement: 

• Remove button unit  . See 61 31 193 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BUTTON UNIT (MENU/VOICE INPUT) .
• Carry out programming/coding  . See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
