61 34... Removing and installing/replacing 12-V power socket

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Check the equipment dependent sockets that are available.

Cup holder:

Unclip connector (1) and feed through under center console to power socket (2).

Remove power socket (2) using special tool 61 0 250 .

See last operation.

Rear center console trim:

Remove socket (1) from the center console trim using special tool 61 0 250 2.

Luggage compartment:

Hold the left luggage compartment wheel arch panel from behind and disconnect the connector (1) from the power socket (2).

Luggage compartment:

Fold up the protective cap over power socket (1).

Luggage compartment:

Remove socket (1) using special tool 61 0 250 .

See last operation.

Pull out 12-V power socket from housing with special tool 61 0 250 until connector is at bottom of light ring.

Lever out power socket (1) in direction of arrow with a suitable tool.

Release latch mechanisms (1) with a suitable tool.

Press power socket mounting (2) in direction of arrow out of power socket frame (3).

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) at socket mounting (2) must not be damaged. Make sure socket mounting (2) is fitted correctly in socket frame (3).
