32 41... Replacing Pressure Line For Dynamic Drive (Part 2) (M57T2)
RISK OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
Close off pipe connections with plugs.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable container.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir
- Remove underbody protection incl. cover . See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT ASSEMBLY UNDERSIDE PROTECTION , REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT UNDERBODY PANELLING .
- Remove REINFORCEMENT PLATE
- Partially remove FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER (REAR SECTION)
Release banjo bolt (1).
From build date 10/08, release hexagon socket bolts from flange (1).
Tightening torque: 32 41 11AZ (banjo bolt).
Tightening torque: 32 41 16AZ (hexagon socket bolt).
Seal pressure lines with suitable sealing plugs.
Installation:
Make sure pressure line is laid without tension and with sufficient spacing to adjoining components.
Release screws (1) and remove heat shield (2).
Installation:
Tightening torque: 32 41 14AZ .
Release bolts (1) and remove bracket (2) from front axle carrier.
Installation:
Tightening torque: 32 41 7AZ .
Release banjo bolt (1).
Seal pressure lines with suitable sealing plugs.
Remove pressure line (2).
Installation:
Hydraulic lines are not permitted to contact each other or adjoining components.
Tightening torque: 37 14 15AZ .
- From build date 10/08, release hexagon socket bolts from flange (1).
Tightening torque: 32 41 16AZ
After installation:
- Fill and bleed HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
- Check pipe connections for leaks
- Carry out INITIAL DYNAMIC DRIVE OPERATION .
