INFORMATION
Distribution of the following tool will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Previously issued Service Information SI B 04 33 15 explained that the 132 Pin Break Out Box (P/N 83 30 2 352 990) was not to be used due to a problem in the unit.
This service information contains the fix for the problem. The fix takes only 10 minutes and is to be performed by the center. The Break Out Box set may be used once the repair has been completed. Only a T10 torx driver is required for the repair. Hand tighten screws only.
The repair kit contains new circuitry that will enable the Break Out Boxes to be additionally used on future 48 volt systems.

What's Included
- Repair Kit adapters -2 pieces. Both are identical and may be used on either the blue or red Break Out Box.
- New voltage labels - 1 for each Break Out Box.
- 8 new screws - do not throw out the 8 old screws as they are re-used.
- Illustrated instructions - the following instructions are used as a supplement.
- Starting with either Break Out Box (3), using a T10 torx driver, remove and save the 4, 3-way adapter screws (1).
- Pull the 3-Way adapter (2) straight out. Do not wiggle the adapter.
- Carefully remove either one of the red repair kit adapters (1) from the shipping carton.
- Gently push the red repair kit adapter onto the Break Out Box as shown. Rounded tabs will be up.
- The connectors are keyed so they will only go on 1 way.
- With the T10 torx driver, screw the 4 previously removed screws (3) into the red repair kit adapter (at arrows). Hand tighten only. This fixes the red adapter to the Break Out Box.
- Gently push the 3-way adapter (1) on top of the red repair kit adapter (2) as shown.
- With T10 torx driver, screw 4 new screws (3) into the 3-way adapter (at arrows). Hand tighten only.
- Remove the new label card (1) from the repair kit.
- Remove either of the new label strips (box) from the card.
- Place the label over the appropriate area on the Break Out Box (2).
- New label applied (arrow) on bottom of Break Out Box.
- Go back to first step and repeat for second Break Out Box.
- Repair finished - Break Out Box set P/N 83 30 2 352 990 may now be used.
- Starting with either Break Out Box (3), using a T10 torx driver, remove and save the 4, 3-way adapter screws (1).
