Rear window button
The rear window button can be used to open the rear window if the vehicle is unlocked and stationary.
Pressing the rear window button switches the microswitch to ground. The junction box electronics (JBE) monitor the rear-window button. If the status of the rear-window button changes to Low, the rear window is unlocked and can be opened. To unlock the window, the junction box electronics actuate the direct current (DC) motor on the release drive inside the rear window lock.
The Car Access System (CAS) is the master control unit. In other words, the Car Access System issues the enable for opening the rear window.
