Functional description

The left-hand control panel on the rear air conditioner is connected directly via a plug connection to the right-hand control panel on the rear air conditioner. This means that all the settings for the left-hand control panel on the rear air conditioner are picked up and digitized in the electronics of the right-hand control panel on the rear air conditioner. The right-hand control panel on the rear air conditioner sends the signals on the LIN bus to the HKA control unit. The locator lighting are controlled via terminal 58g by the footwell module.

After signal evaluation the HKA control unit activates the left rear air conditioner mixing flap motor, the left rear air conditioner air distribution flap motor, and via an output stage the rear air conditioner blower. The LEDs are activated by the HKA control unit via the LIN bus. The corresponding signal is transmitted via the electronics in the right rear air conditioner control panel to the LEDs in the left rear air conditioner control panel.
