Shift paddles
The signals from the shift paddles, representing gearshift commands, are resistance-encoded and transmitted to the steering column switch cluster (SZL) through hard-wired lines. The steering column switch cluster (SZL) converts the signal for the FlexRay. The electronic transmission control (EGS) thereby receives the gearshift request through a bus signal.
