Mechatronics data synchronization for the DKG: Notes

In the case of a replacement, the Mechatronics data synchronization service function transfers gearbox data from the existing Mechatronics into the new Mechatronics.

The Mechatronics data synchronization service function must be carried out after the following measures: 

• Mechatronics replacement

Compliance with the instructions from the BMW diagnosis system is absolutely necessary because a correct procedure can otherwise not be guaranteed.

Compliance with the following ambient conditions is required when performing Mechatronics data synchronization: 

• Terminal 15 on

Procedure of the service function procedure 1, replace Mechatronics immediately: 

• Read out of gearbox data from the existing Mechatronics
• Replace Mechatronics
• Write gearbox data into new Mechatronics

Procedure of the service function procedure 2, replace Mechatronics later: 

• Display of the read out data from the existing Mechatronics
• Documentation of displayed data
• Replace Mechatronics at a later time
• Work through service function again
• Read in documented data from existing Mechatronics into the new Mechatronics
