Exterior Lighting: Notes

The series launch of the BMW 3 Series Coupe (E92) is accompanied by new functions for the exterior lights. Bi-xenon headlights are standard equipment.

NOTE: SA524 only in conjunction with SA522.

SA524 "Adaptive headlights" is only available in conjunction with SA522 "Xenon light for low- and high-beam headlights". SA524 is standard in the US version.

The following functions are new to the exterior lights for the E92:

NOTE: Generate daytime driving lights.

Depending on the model series, national-market version and headlight version (halogen headlight or bi-xenon headlight), the daytime driving lights are generated via lighting rings or dimmed low-beam headlights.

NOTE: Cornering light only in conjunction with SA524.

Cornering lights are a subfunction of SA524 "Adaptive headlights".
