Leak Detection In The Refrigerant Circuit, Air Conditioning With Mechanical A/C Compressor

The following sequence of checks is recommended to detect leaks in the refrigerant circuit:

1. Checking the refrigerant circuit with leak detection spray
2. Checking the A/C condenser
3. Checking the evaporator

   If there is good reason to suspect that a specific component is faulty, it is permitted to deviate from the sequence of checks at Points 1, 2 and 3.

4. Only if no leak has been found in the refrigerant circuit by checks 1, 2 and 3, can menu item 4 be performed.
