BMW Connected for Google Android: Notes

BMW Connected links the user's portable device to the vehicle systems using the appropriate application software (app). The application software's functions appear in the vehicle's Central Information Display (CID). It is operated by the controller in the center console.

Certain system requirements must be met in order to use BMW Connected. Option 6NR (BMW Connected) or 6AK (ConnectedDrive Services) must be available in the vehicle. The vehicle's production date must be 07/2013 or newer. The customer also requires an appropriate end device with a suitable mobile radio contract (broadband data connection). NOTE: A broadband data connection is needed in order to use all of the functionality of BMW Connected. The costs that are incurred (e.g. data roaming) are a constituent of the customer contract with the end device service provider. The application software is available free-of-charge at the Google Play Store Internet portal. The country-specific requirements and prerequisites must be observed when doing this.
