Power Control Unit (PCU): Notes
The Power Control Unit (PCU) control unit supports the vehicle electrical system.
The vehicle electrical system is split in two:
- Vehicle electrical system basic version with battery, starter motor, alternator and the electrical consumers
- Additional vehicle electrical system with auxiliary battery
The Power Control Unit (PCU) provides energy management between these two vehicle electrical systems under all operating conditions.
The use of the Power Control Unit depends on the motorization or one or more of the following items of optional equipment (as at 07/2013):
